George Brown served 5-years in the United States Navy following high school. He began his career at Florida Power and Light in 1968, and worked in many areas at the local district level. In his last 7-years at FPL, as a Certified State Energy Auditor, he performed commercial/industrial energy audits for many high intensity energy consuming governmental and corporate FPL customers.

After 19-years of service to FPL George founded Southeastern Utility Services, Inc. (SUSI). For more than 17-years SUSI has provided expert utility auditing services to many commercial and industrial clients. SUSI has worked with facilities throughout the Southeastern region of the country as well as many other states. George has saved many millions of dollars for his clients through the ability to identify and implement savings measures that would otherwise be overlooked.

That unique investigative ability recently forced one utility to begin replacement of more than 90,000 faulty electric meters. George has worked closely with several public utility commissions to assure that SUSI’s clients’ rights of fair treatment were preserved.
